Ruru's Challenge

Hello Everybody,

I hope you have all had a wonderful last couple of weeks. What a unique time we are in. I have been spending my isolation holiday learning lots of new things, exercising and connecting with my friends and family. One thing I've had fun doing is exploring our new Wigram Primary School learning site. There are heaps of fun activities and apps to explore. One of my favourites, under Music, is a google app called Chrome Music Lab. It's a place to make music. Check out what I have done. I wonder if you know what song I have re-created.

My challenge to My homeroom and Mrs Lee's homeroom is to post a video, picture, sound recording, animation of you showcasing your skills. It could be a skill that you have been doing for years or a skill that you have just learnt.

I wonder which homeroom has the skills to pay the bills......

I'm looking forward to seeing all of your posts!

  1. Hi Mr Williams,
Wow! That is so cool! I didn't know you could create music like that. I wish I had brought my guitar home from school - then we could have had a digital jam! I think it would be fun to practise using that app with some well known songs and then try creating our own. Was it difficult to use or easy to pick up?
I look forward to seeing some more tunes being created through the Chrome Music Lab.
    Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thanks Mrs Lee. I appreciate your comment. It's also really nice to hear from you. I hope you and your bubble are doing well.
At the start it was difficult because I had never used Chrome Music Lab before. However I had some to explore this site and after a while I became familiar with it. I found making this song easy because when I was younger I had piano lessons and I could remember the tune. I think it took me about 20 minutes to make this.
I know we have some talented musicians in Ruru. I bet they could make something even better than this.
Have you got an idea about what skill you might post on our blog yet?
